SPLASH OF COLOUR
This project was awarded HIA finalist for 2014 – Kitchen and Bathroom design
For this project the kitchen was originally upstairs where all bedrooms were which meant down stairs was not being used effectively. The brief was to create a more entertaining environment and better use of the space for the whole family.
The kitchen now became the down stairs feature which then continues through onto a new outdoor entertaining deck.
This family of five needed a very functional space with plenty of storage. With clever planning we incorporated a walk-in butlers pantry featuring bench top great for storing tea/coffee, toaster, thermo mix, open shelving and drawers. Best of all it can then be closed away with bi-fold doors when guest’s come over.
Hint: A nice little detail when having a canopy range-hood as a feature is to bring the glass splash back up behind giving the elusion of more space and height. What a splash of colour!
